春节英文周记2Today my parents took me to my grandfather’s house. I played with my cousin. Suddenly my cousin suggested going to the park and having a rest. “that’s a good idea.” I said. Then we prepared for the traveling. After lunch, the sky turned dark. After that , it rained heavily. It meant our plan is impossible. What a pity day!
Tomorrow is New Year’s Day, my family have had a completely cleaning for two days. Then my father and I decorated our flat and my mother cooked delicious food for our meal. After supper we watched TV program. How happy we were!
The day after yesterday I received 2000 yuan from my relatives as my pocket money. I was so happy but my father and mother said that I should give a half to them and the rest would be my pocket money in one year. “what!” I shouted.
春节英文周记3After the New Year’s Eve dinner with my family, we began to sit down in front of the TV, and enjoyed 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala.
At about ten o’clock, the black sky was lightened by lots of fireworks with colorful light and happy sound. We stop watching the CCTV 2008 CCTV Spring Festival gala, and began to climb up the balcony to see the beautiful fireworks view, and my father took some fireworks up, and we also began to play fireworks. What a beautiful night.
Later, my cell phone was ringing all the time. I received lots of short messages from my friends and classmates. They all blessed me happy New Year. I gave same bless to them by sending back the happy words. At almost 12 pm, I made a wish in New Year, and began to sleep.
When I woke up in the first day of New Year, my father and mother gave two red packets to me, and blessed me that everything will go well on me. I thanked them, and accepted the red packets happily. I have been waiting for the day that I can get lots of red packets. This is my happiest time of the year.
After lunch, both my family went to the park, the streets, and the shops or supermarkets. We took many photos in the park, and bought many things in the shops or supermarket. I met my uncles and aunts, they all blessed us happy New Year and gave me red packets. I was too happy to count how many red packets I got.
The following days, we visited my grandparents and some of relatives. We happily talk with them, and brought some presents to them, and also received some New Year presents.
This was how did I spend my Spring Festival; I really enjoyed myself in Spring Festival.

腊八儿：天津人称腊月初八为“腊八儿”，有喝腊八粥的习俗。许多天津人还在这天用醋泡大蒜，名“腊八醋”。“腊八醋”不仅味道醇正，而且久放不坏。
逛娘娘宫：腊月十五开始，各式各样的年货全都上市，以娘娘宫为轴心的宫南宫北大街更是热闹非凡。男孩子到娘娘宫头一个目标就是风葫芦，成年男人到这里，忘不了买灯笼，女人们来这里多是“洗娃娃”的，从娘娘宫拴回的“娃娃”每年都要“洗一回”，这是节前妇女必须做完的事情。
糖瓜祭灶：腊月二十三，是灶王爷升天的日子，家家要买糖瓜儿，等到夜里12点祭灶王爷。待香燃尽后，请下灶王像，点火烧了，大年三十再买新的'灶王像，又叫“灶王码子”换上，年复一年，都是这样。
吊钱儿：吊钱儿是用彩纸剪刻成的图案，贴在门窗的玻璃和横棱上，作为春节喜庆气氛的点缀，贴上的吊钱儿只能到正月初五那天损坏，否则就意味着一年不吉利。
“破五”：天津人称正月初五为“破五”，这一天，家家户户吃饺子，菜板要剁得叮咚响，让四邻听见，以示正在剁“小人”，天津人把不顺心的事归结到“小人”的身上，除掉“小人”才能大吉大利，顺顺当当，初五晚上放鞭炮，也有避邪免灾的意味。
